After a fun morning of exploring the five portals of fun on Celebration Key, which I wrote about in part 1 of this blog, you may find yourself getting hungry or thirsty and asking the question Where do I eat? Well in this blog we will go on a tour of all the eating establishments on Celebration Key so you can decide which one is best for you and your family.
ISLAND EATS
You may notice a credit for Island Eats on your sign and sail card. What is it? This is credit added to your sign and sail card for you to use to eat on Celebration Key. It’s good for 1 complimentary meal per person at a self serve restaurant OR 25% off at one entree per person at a full service restaurant. There are a few exclusions. How do you know if the restaurant is included in the Island Eats program? Easy. There will be a sign. There is also a map available here for you to download. The participating restaurants will have an Island Eats Icon beside their name. With that said, let’s begin our exploration of all the eating and drinking establishments that you will find when you visit Celebration Key. Our first stop is Starfish Lagoon. This is where you will find most of the family restaurants on Celebration Key.
CAPTAINS GALLEY FOOD HALL

This awesome eating place for the whole family is located in Starfish Lagoon. You can grab a quick lunch here, so you can get back to the fun faster. 5 counters and a full bar includes a variety of food including hotdogs, burgers, pizza, tacos, drinks. This is considered a casual self-serve restaurant so it qualifies for the complimentary 1 meal per person under the Island Eats program.
GILL’S GRILL

This full service restaurant is also in Starfish Lagoon. It serves Caribbean food, Chicken, Burgers with a full bar. It qualifies for 25% off one entree per person under the Island Eats program.
FOOD TRUCKS AND MORE

FOOD TRUCKS AND MORE
Moving on our tour of eating establishments, still in Starfish Lagoon, we come to the food trucks. Here you can try local Bahamian dishes, as well as classic beachside food. Want a grab and go item? Head on over to the snack shack and grab a wrap, or a salad or other tasty grab and go items. The food trucks and the grab and go snack shacks are included in Island Eats, however be aware that the food carts are NOT included in Island Eats and will be an additional cost.
Parents, if you get thirsty while supervising your kids in the pool, head on over to the Parrotfish Swim Up Bar for a frozen rum cocktail and more. There are also 2 more bars available on land if you need to get out of the sun. Check out the Aquabana bar or the Lagoon Bar East. The bars are NOT included in Island Eats, nor are they included in the Cheers package.
LOKONO COVE
The next portal along our culinary journey is Lokono Cove. There is not much to eat or drink in this section of Celebration Key. There are food carts and a coffee shop, neither of these are included in Island Eats.
MINGO’S TROPICAL BAR AND KITCHEN

Mingo’s Tropical Bar and Kitchen is the adults only go-to place with a lively atmosphere. You can get Caribbean food like Jerk Chicken, and coconut shrimp as well as classic fare like tacos, burgers. Want a frozen tropical drink to cool off? Yes, Mingo’s has them as well. Since this is a full service restaurant it qualifies for the 25% off one entree per person with Island Eats.
MINGO’S EXPRESS
Want to eat at Mingo’s but have kids along? No problem. You can eat at Mingo’s Express. They serve beachside favorites and Caribbean food. This is considered a casual eatery so it qualifies for the complimentary meal per person for Island Eats. It is important to remember that the full service Mingo’s qualifies for the 25% entree per person. There is an Island Eats sign sign at both restaurants.
SURF AND SAUCE BBQ AND BREWS

Have a hankering for BBQ? Your nose will probably lead you to this place. Enjoy slow-smoked meats smoked in an outdoor smoker and indulge in a brew from the brewhouse to top it off. Oooh! just the thought of BBQ is making my mouth. This is a full service restaurant so it qualifies for the 25% off 1 entree per person. I can just taste those yummy BBQ meats.
CALYPSO LAGOON FOOD TRUCKS AND MORE
Like Starfish Lagoon, this area has food trucks, snack shacks, food carts and 3 bars scattered throughout the area. as with Starfish Lagoon the food trucks and snack shakes are included with Island Eats while the food carts and bars aren’t included.
CALPYSO LAGOON BARS

At the Long Neck Swim Up Bar you can order frozen drinks, beer and Bahamian cocktails. Or perhaps you would prefer to relax in a swing at the swing bar, while drinking a tasty poolside cocktail, or enjoy a cold one at the Lagoon Bar West. Whatever you’re thirsty for, you’re sure to find it at Celebration Key. Remember, the bars and the food carts are NOT included in the Island Eats and they are NOT INCLUDED IN THE CHEERS PACKAGE.
PEARL COVE BEACH BEACH CLUB

As mentioned in part 1 of this blog, Pearl Cove is the only area that you have to pay to play as it’s a private beach club. This restaurant is ONLY included in the all-inclusive package for Pearl Cove. As such it is NOT included in Island eats or the CHEERS package. It serves Lobster, Shrimp, fresh sushi and salads. There is 1 swim up bar that serves tropical drinks.
PARADISE PLAZA
After a fun day at Celebration Key why not grab some ice cream before you head back to the ship? However yummy it is, the ice cream shop is NOT included in Island Eats.
So you see, there is a great variety of dining options available for you to choose from on Celebration Key with something for all ages and tastes. I hope this blog gives you a great overview of each eating establishment on Celebration Key, whether or not they are included in Island Eats or not. If you are unsure whether or not a restaurant participates in the Island Eats program, just look for the sign.
